AS-Interface Masters and Gateways
Masters and gateways are the centerpiece of every AS-Interface network.
Masters with control or PLC functions can be used as controllers in stand-alone mode.

Gateways are modules that form an interface between the AS-Interface and higher-level buses. You can install gateways to provide a solution for complex applications using standard products. The gateways act as a slave for the higher-level bus.

Masters and gateways are available in different designs:
