Sensors with “reduction factor 1” detect metallic objects of any material (e.g. iron, steel, copper, aluminum) with the same switching distance. A special coating on the housing permits the use of these reduction factor 1 sensors in welding areas. The following are available:
  • Complete portfolio in all designs
  • Sn from 2 mm to 50 mm embeddable
  • Sn from 6 mm to 75 mm non-embeddable
  • Electromagnetic welding resistance against external fields
  • Mechanical welding resistance against splash
  • NRB12 providing the largest switching distance in the world

Users of sensors with “reduction factor 1” are used to the standard maximum switching distances. Pepperl+Fuchs has developed a new R1 oscillator with a 50 % greater switching distance, making it the problem solver par excellence!
